Baku, April 29 (AZERTAC). An exhibition of paintings by Azerbaijani Hamida Malikova has opened at MARS Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow, Russia.

Opening the ceremony, famous Azerbaijani opera artist Elchin Azizov thanked participants for attending the exhibition.

Hamida Malikova is at the forefront of the contemporary art figure in Azerbaijan and her expressive paintings and sculptures have been exhibited in prestigious fairs and exhibitions, resulting in her fast-growing international reputation.

Hamida Malikova is the participant of numerous international exhibitions and competitions. The unflinching gaze of the artist pries into the most intimate moments of her subjects’ lives making the viewer feel both fascinated and uneasy.

In 2007ç Hamida Malikova`s first exhibition opened in Baku.

Being one of the eminent fine art masters in Turkey, Hamida Malikova is in constant search for synthesis of East and West traditions, of national originality.

Preserving philosophical world view basis and poetry of Eastern classical art along with outlook of contemporary man distinguishes her paintings.
