Azerbaijani FM visits Argentina
Baku, July 26 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov is visiting Argentina in a bid to strengthen the bilateral relations as part of his tour of Latin American countries.
According to Argentina`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture, the Azerbaijani Minister is expected to meet his Argentine counterpart Hector Timerman. The two ministers will be joined by Argentine officials and businessmen for their meeting, which will take place at the San Martin Palace in Buenos Aires.
The two countries` businessmen will then come together for a joint business forum and a bilateral working meeting.
The visit will see Mammadyarov hold talks with several other Argentine ministers.
Argentina`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Culture said Azerbaijan had been one of the world`s fastest growing economies in the last 10 years. It said Azerbaijan`s GDP grew four-fold, while the population`s average monthly income saw a nine-fold growth.
“The Azerbaijan Government is developing its multi-dimensional economy, and expresses interest in products and technologies offered by Argentina, particularly in agriculture and food production, infrastructure and construction, information technologies and energy,” the Ministry added.
