Azerbaijani, Qatari national libraries sign MoU on mutual cooperation

The Azerbaijan National Library (ANL) named after M. F. Akhundzade and Qatar National Library (QNL) have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual cooperation in Doha, Qatar.
The document was signed by Director of Azerbaijan National Library Karim Tahirov and Director of Qatar National Library Sohair Wastawy.
The memorandum will see the two libraries conduct the exchange of books, information and electronic resources, valuable books as well as experience. The MoU also envisages the joint organization of trainings, research conferences on the application of innovations and participation in traditional book fairs.
Karim Tahirov presented books about the Azerbaijan National Library and history of Karabakh, a collection of mugam disks "Karabakh singers", published by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and a book about Azerbaijan's ancient musical instruments to the Qatar National Library.
They also discussed prospects for future cooperation between the national libraries of the two countries.
