Azerbaijani Youth Day marked in Dmitrov, Russia

Baku, February 5 (AZERTAC). Budo festival dedicated to the Azerbaijani Youth Day was marked in the Dmitrov city of Moscow Oblast, the Russian Federation.

The anthems of the two countries were performed in the event organized by the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress.

The event saw speeches by member of the All-Russian Azerbaijanis Congress Gulsum Gulverdiyeva and chairman of the Dmitrov office of the congress Seyran Huseynov.

As stated, in 1997 national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev signed a decree according to which 2 February was declared the Day of Azerbaijani Youth.

The speakers highlighted the youth policy led by President Ilham Aliyev.

Ali Kazimov won the first place at budo festival and winners received honorary orders.

The event featured performances of Azerbaijani and Russian dancers.
