Azerbaijan’s ambassador to South Africa visits Free State Province of country
Baku, July 28 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to the South African Republic Elkhan Polukhov has paid an official visit to Free State province of the country.
The Ambassador has also visited province`s capital Bloemfontein and has met Deputy Director General of the Free State Province Albertus Venter and major of the province, Chief Operations Officer at Free State Development Corporation Edward Komane.
Addressing the meetings, Mr. Polukhov provided information about Azerbaijan, as well as the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Ambassador hailed national leader Heydar Aliyev` tireless efforts on progress achieved in all spheres after restoration of Azerbaijan`s independence. He also said that national leader`s policy was successfully continued by Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev.
Albertus Venter, in his turn, noted that Free State Province was ready for cooperation in all spheres with Azerbaijan.
Mr. Polukhov, as part of his visit, has also met with Rector of the University of the Free State Jonathan Jansen.
They discussed issues on implementation of teacher and students exchange in a bid to establish the relations between the two countries` higher schools and the creation of the friendship centres.
Elkhan Polukhov presented Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s edition collection on Azerbaijan to the University.
The Ambassador has also met chief justice of Supreme Court of Bloemfontein city Brand Jakobus and head of the Supreme Court Administration Bafana Mashinini.
The Diplomat briefed the delegation on Azerbaijan`s culture, as well as its legal system.
