Azerbaijan`s President receives former German foreign minister
Baku, June 5 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received former German minister of foreign affairs Hans-Dietrich Genscher and his accompanying delegation.
The President recalled his meeting with Hans-Dietrich Genscher in Munich. The Head of State expressed satisfaction with the fact that Hans-Dietrich Genscher is accompanied by a large delegation. The President noted the visit would create good opportunity for discussions of issues related to development of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Hans-Dietrich Genscher said the ongoing rapid development process in Azerbaijan made a deep impression on them. The former minister said his large delegation represents various strata of German society. Hans-Dietrich Genscher also said his country was interested in expansion of relations with Azerbaijan in all spheres, as well as the deepening of the European Union-Azerbaijan cooperation.
The sides exchanged views on expansion of cooperation in political, economic and cultural areas.
