AZERI TOP DIPLOMAT MEETS DUTCH FOREIGN MINISTRY`S OFFICIAL

Baku, 13 February (AZERTAC). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met today with visiting Peter de Hyer, Director-General for Political Affairs of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides exchanged views on the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. They stressed the need to conduct political consultations between the two countries` Foreign Ministries and to intensify reciprocal visits in order to enhance bilateral relationship.

The Dutch diplomat stressed the necessity of carrying out the EU`s Eastern Partnership Program saying it would contribute to establishing stability in the region.

Elmar Mammadyarov spoke of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. He underlined that the dispute could only be resolved on the basis of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Peter de Hyer said in response that his country unanimously supports Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.

The sides also discussed other issues on mutual concern.
