AzerTAc opens photo-exhibition of Chinese News Agency Xinhua
Baku, December 5 (AZERTAC). ”China - friendship from the East” photo exhibition of Chinese News Agency Xinhua, dedicated to the 20 years of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and China opened in the Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency - AZERTAC.
Chinese Ambassador Hong Jiuyin, director general of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov, representatives of Confucius Institute operating in the Baku State University and Xinhua Agency in Azerbaijan participated in the opening ceremony.
Azerbaijan State Telegraph Agency - AZERTAC, Chinese news agency Xinhua and Confucian Institute of BSU are the organizers of the exhibition.
Opening the ceremony, director general of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov praised the ceremony as the result of the bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and China. “Exhibition one of the world`s influential agencies Xinhua is very important for AZERTAC. Friendship relations and information exchange between the two agencies develop actively” Mr. Aslanov told. He noted the partnership between the two agencies will also progress in the future.
Director General of AZERTAC underlined particular role of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in establishment and progress of the Azerbaijani-Chinese relations. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev successfully continues supporting friendship ties and cooperation between China and Azerbaijan. Aslan Aslanov recalled the document AZERTAC signed with Xinhua on cooperation in the information sphere some years ago. “AZERTAC and Xinhua successfully cooperate and support each others in the various regional and global information organizations such as Organization of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA)” Mr. Aslanov added.
Director of Confucius Institute in BSU Hu Fenghua thanked director general of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov for organizing the exhibition. Ms. Fenghua told: “I hope AZERTAC and Institute of Confucius will cooperate for the progress between peoples of the two countries in the future. I am sure the exhibition will raise interest to the Chinese culture in Azerbaijan”.
Representative of the Xinhua`s Baku Bureau in Azerbaijan Liu Yang praised current state of diplomatic ties between China and Azerbaijan. “This exhibition is evidence to big potential for the progress of the political, cultural and other ties between the two countries. It demonstrates dynamics of our relations in the 20 years period of time”, he told. He added that most of these photos show historical moments of friendship of China with Azerbaijan. Liu Yang particularly underlined best works of Xinhua`s photo correspondents taken during the last 20 years period of time were presented in the exhibition.
Further, Mr. Yang thanked the organizers and sponsors of the exhibition.
Chinese Ambassador Hong Zhiu Yin, director general of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov, director of Confucius Institute in the Baku State University Hu Fenghua and representative of Xinhua`s Baku Bureau in Azerbaijan Liu Yang cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the exhibition.
Nearly 90 works of the Xinhua correspondents are presented in the photo exhibition. They include various phases of political relations between the two countries, as well as official visits of Chinese and Azerbaijani leaders. Photos highlighting cultural ties from the visits of citizens and students take central place in the exhibition.
The “China - friendship from the East” exhibition will last for 10 days.
