BSU, GIRESUN UNIVERSITY SIGN PROTOCOL OF INTENTIONS ON COOPERATION
Baku, February 18 (AZERTAC). Rector of the Baku State University (BSU) Abel Maharramov and rector of the Turkish Giresun University Osman Metin Ozturk has signed here a protocol of intentions on cooperation in the fields of science and education.
Prior to the signing of the document the two rectors exchanged information about their universities.
Maharramov also spoke of education reforms in Azerbaijan. He said President Ilham Aliyev attaches much importance to expanding the scope of the Baku State University`s foreign relations.
Osman Metin Ozturk said his university is keen to enhance cooperation with the BSU.
Turkey`s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilic touched upon Azerbaijan-Turkey relations.
Earlier in the day Osman Metin Ozturk and his entourage visited the Alley of Honors to pay respect to Azerbaijan`s nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev. Here, they also laid flowers at the tomb of eminent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
