“GORGUD - GOPUZ - EURASIA” FESTIVAL IN ALMATI
The aim of this big music festival is to study the heritage and personality of Gorgud from the modern scientific standpoint, revival and development of national music traditions as well as the further expansion of historical and cultural relations between peoples of Eurasia.
The heritage of Gorgud gives an opportunity to say that culture of nomadic Turks influenced world music culture greatly, public foundation “Gorgud” reports. Though cultural and music heritage of Gorgud has not been research fully, modern scientists have studied its contribution as a creator of gopuz to the world culture. We are sure that this festive event will play its role in strengthening of Gorgud’s heritage.
A documentary film about the festival as well as audio- and videocassettes are to be produced after the event.
