“HOLIDAY OF ASIA” IN BAKU
Opening of the traditional international music festival “Holiday of Asia” was held at the concert Hall of Khazar University. The festival is being held at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture, Center of modern music ‘SoNoR’, Embassy of India to Azerbaijan and German-Azerbaijani cultural center Capelhouse.
Director of the festival Afat Mammadova, Ambassador of India to Azerbaijan Jotty Svarup Pande, Rector of Khazar University, and professor Gamlet Isakhanly addressing the ceremony stressed that the main purpose of the traditional holiday in Baku is propaganda of rich musical culture of peoples of Asia, including Turkic nations. More than 20 musicians from India, Turkey, Iran, Kyrgizstan and Azerbaijan will show their mastery. Ceremony was attended by Ambassadors of Great Britain, France, Norway, and Saudi Arabia in Azerbaijan. The ceremony was crowned with a concert program.
