HONORABLE TASK TO CREATE ACADEMICIAN ZARIFA ALIYEVA’S SCULPTURE
Today, talented and original works of a member of the Painters’ Union of Ukraine, laureate of Socrates Prize of the Oxford University (USA), senior sculptor of East Ukrainian academy of business circles of Ukraine in Kharkov, are known in many countries of the world. Recently, Chairman of the Russian State Duma, G. Seleznev delivered prizes to outstanding people of Russia, two of these prizes - “Golden Sophia” and “Golden Jaguar” were worked by Gurbanov.
In April, the agency reported on presentation of a sculptural composition ”Violin player on Roof” in Kharkov, created by Seyfaddin Gurbanov in memory of all men of arts, who devoted their lives to art. The prizes of the contest “Man of the year” and prizes of the International Academy of popularity and quality rating “Golden Fortuna” had been worked by S. Gurbanov as well.
On April 15, when the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Kiev held the International science practical conference dedicated to President Heydar Aliyev’s jubilee, in his conversation with Ambassador Talyat Aliyev the sculptor expressed a wish to start working on the monument of a glorious daughter of Azerbaijan - Zarifa Aliyeva, who devoted her life to people returning them eyesight. After Ambassador Aliyev acquainted with Gurbanov’s works, he approved this initiative. Today, Seyfaddin Gurbanov works over the sketch of the future sculpture. On August 4, he went to Irpen with diplomats to examine the place of the monument “Zarifa in Park”.
