President of International Canoe Federation (ICF) Ulrich Feldhoff visited Saturday the Alley of Honors as part of his Azerbaijan trip.

He laid wreaths at the tombs of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and his spouse, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.

Interviewed by journalists, Mr. Feldhoff said rowing is developing with high speed in Azerbaijan and expressed satisfaction with care and attention to sport in the country.

Mr. Feldhoff expressed assurance Azeri sportsmen will achieve bright successes.

He said: “I have been in most countries of the world, but hadn’t seen such care to sport like in Azerbaijan.”

He added Azerbaijan can organize international competitions in future.

On Sunday, Ulrich Feldhoff will familiarize himself with Kur Olympic Training Center in Mingechevir.
