International powerlifting and bench press tournament opens in Nakhchivan

An international powerlifting and bench press tournament marking the 94th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev has kicked off in Nakhchivan.
Addressing the opening ceremony, President of the World Powerlifting Congress Mike Sweeney hailed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev`s assistance in organizing international tournaments.
The three-day tournament involves 60 athletes from Azerbaijan and Turkey.
