JUBILEE OF FAMOUS ENGLISH WRITER MARKED
Opening the session, dedicated to the topic “J. Aldridge and Azerbaijan”, director of the Museum, MP Rafael Huseynov noted that James Aldridge is well known in the Republic as courageous and brave writer, whose creation belongs not only to the English people, but also to the peoples of world, and who in his works with respect and honor speaks on the Azerbaijani nation.
There is a great interest in creation of James Aldridge, and our scientists have carried out researches on his works and have personal contacts with him, the orator emphasized.
Speakers at the session noted that the great writer has participated in the WW II and has written a novel, “The Diplomat”, which deals with this war. Along this novel, where created was the image of Azerbaijanis as well, a number of stories have been translated into Azerbaijan language.
Literary critics and researchers delivered lectures on creation of the English writer.
