Lachin International Film Festival awards winners

The awards ceremony for the winners of the Lachin International Film Festival (LIFF) was held.
At the ceremony, LIFF Director Amil Amal presented awards to the winners and distinguished participants.
Masim Mammadov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Lachin district; People's Artists Shamil Suleymanli, Elshad Arshadoglu and Ilkin Umarov received the “Golden Oak Branch,” the official prize of the Lachin International Film Festival.
Awards were also presented for the cinematic expression of current social issues, contributions to the development of acting, and other categories.
The jury’s spotlight fell on a diverse range of films, from Ayan Malik’s Lullaby, actor Anar Bulud’s Timshél, Asiman Agha Rovshan’s The Other Side of the Wall, Mehmet Oğuz Yıldırım’s Kudret, Kubra Binnatova’s Under the Same Rain, Igor Smola’s It Lives Under the Snow, Marcin Tomaszewski’s Karma: The Line Between, Reza’s Ashiqs’ Teahouse, Zeljko Stanetić’s Milena, and Nodir Nuriddinovich Abdukarimov’s Cold Spring.
Furthermore, certificates of “Official Participant” were presented to the creators of all 39 films selected for the competition program, while 17 participants were honored with awards overall.
As the first international film festival organized in Garabagh and East Zangezur, the Lachin International Film Festival, aims to promote Azerbaijani cinema, expand creative ties between local and foreign filmmakers, and contribute to revitalizing the cultural life of the region.
