MINISTRY OF YOUTH, SPORTS AND TOURISM MARKS INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY

Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism held on August 13 a roundtable discussion on the occasion of the 12 August - International Youth Day - at the international press center. The event was attended by Ministry’s officials, representatives of UN office in Azerbaijan, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and experts.

Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Intigam Babayev told of the state youth policy pursued in the Republic and emphasized the importance of the political program on youth. The event, according to him, aims to create conditions for marking International Youth Day in the country, and inform the public on state's youth policy and draw its attention to tackling existing problems. The event was concluded by reading out the message of UN Secretary General Kofi Annan on the occasion of the International Youth Day.
