Pakistani delegation visits Tazapir mosque
Baku, November 28 (AZERTAC). A Pakistani delegation led by General Secretary and the President of the Assembly of Islamic Clerics Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman has today visited the Tazapir Mosque in Baku.
They were informed about the reconstruction work carried out in the Mosque. The complex has an educational building of the Baku Islamic University.
The delegation viewed a library of the Caucasian Muslims Board.
Then, the Pakistani delegation met Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims` Board Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade.
Members of Azerbaijani Parliament, as well as Pakistani ambassador to the country Inayatullah Kakar were present at the meeting.
They exchanged views on the bilateral relations, friendship ties and religious issues.
Allahshukur Pashazade praised bilateral relations between the two countries.
He highlighted religious and state ties in the country.
Mr. Pashazade thanked Pakistani government for its fair position on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman spoke of the friendship relations between the two countries and said that Pakistan was interested in developing bilateral relations.
He also praised the existing tolerance in Azerbaijan, adding representatives of the various confessions live in the atmosphere of friendship. Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman hailed Allahshukur Pashazade`s contributions to the development of the religion.
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rahman was presented with a keepsake.
