PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV INAUGURATES NEW METRO STATION IN BAKU
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev inaugurated a newly constructed “Nasimi” metro station in Baku on Thursday. “Nasimi” has become a 21st station in Baku underground.
The President cut the ribbon symbolizing formal opening of the station and toured some of its sections.
He also examined the area around the station, including reconstruction activities underway in nearby buildings.
The President met and talked here with employees of the station and builders. He assured them that the government will provide any assistance necessary to realize the new Baku underground development plan.
A platform in the “Nasimi" station is 102 m in length and 18 m in width.
The station is supplied with world-class equipment and employs more than 250 people.
