President opens central court of Baku Tennis Academy
Baku, 29 June (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and first lady Mehriban Aliyeva have attended a ceremony to open a central court of the Baku Tennis Academy.
The President cut the ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the facility.
President of the Tennis Federation, Parliament Speaker Ogtay Asadov told the Head of State that besides tennis the facility was designed for volleyball, handball and mini-football competitions.
The court is capable of handling 3,000 people. The President and first lady watched the performance of young athletes, and spoke to them.
The Head of State and his spouse viewed a gym and a pool.
The President then spoke to constructors.
The Head of State praised the look of and facilities in the court.
