Prison officials from Germany visit Azerbaijan
Baku, April 26 (AZERTAC). Head of Bruchsal Prison Thomas Muller and former vice-president of the Penitentiary Service of Nordrhein-Westfalen province Linhard Dreger have been in Azerbaijan for a working visit. The visit was organized by the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ).
As part of their visit, German prison officials took part in the training for employees of the Penitentiary Service.
They also visited Azerbaijan`s Shaki city to get acquainted with the prison recently constructed in accordance with international standards.
The German specialists conducted trainings for Azerbaijani prison officials there.
They also met with Deputy Justice Minister, Head of Penitentiary Service Madat Guliyev, who gave detailed information about the activities of the Service.
Guliyev hailed cooperation between Azerbaijan’s Justice Ministry and German Federative Justice Ministry. He also praised joint projects implemented by the two countries’ relevant agencies.
German specialists expressed satisfaction with the level of knowledge of Azerbaijani penitentiary officials.
