RECONSTRUCTION OF WALL DRAWINGS IN SHAKI KHAN PALACE
In accordance with the contract concluded with the German company Dentmal Pflege Myechklengurg, preparatory works to the reconstruction of wall drawings in the Shaki Khan Palace, situating in Shaki city of Azerbaijan, were conducted. As the Working Group of Project on protection of cultural heritage informed, main communication works were finished and relevant measures were taken for protection of the wall drawings. The fundament of the Palace was strengthened, and some parts of the floor were replaced. Currently the network reconstruction goes on. German reconstruction painters have already arrived in Baku. Along with the local reconstruction painters, they will commence reconstruction of the wall drawings on July 15.
