RESTORATION OF SHIRVANSHAH PALACE UNDERWAY
Presentation of the state historical-architectural museum - ‘Complex of Shirvanshah Palace’, restoration of which was completed due to the joint efforts of the ministry of culture, World Bank and the ‘Protection of cultural heritage’ project was held on 21 July.
As was stated, the competition conducted on the base of credit agreement, singed on 31 May 1999 between the government of Azerbaijan and International Association of development, preparation of the restoration project of the Palace and conducting preliminary researches, won the Italian Company ‘Il Cenacolo’.
Then, restoration works was assigned to the ‘Arte Restauro’ Company. Restorers of this Company attracting their Azerbaijani colleagues successfully completed restoration of the Divankhana, a part of the Complex.
