Russian theater and film actor Gennady Mitrofanov died at 81

On February 14, the Soviet and Russian theater and film actor Gennady Mitrofanov passed away. The artist died at the age of 81 after a long illness. This was reported on the portal of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf.
Gennady Mitrofanov was born in 1940 in the village of Port Ilyicha in Azerbaijan. He lost his hearing at the age of two due to a cold. For more than 50 years, the actor has worked in the Moscow Theater of Mimicry and Gesture. In 1994, the actor was awarded the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
The most famous roles of Gennady Mitrofanov were in performances - “Where is Charlie?” “The Queen’s Pendants”, “Boris Godunov”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “The Cherry Orchard”, “And in Our Yard”, “Village Quadrille”.
