SOUTH KOREA WANTS TO EXPAND COOPERATION WITH AZERBAIJAN

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Republic Elmar Mammadyarov met on 16 August with Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Song Khwan, who has completed his diplomatic mission.

According to the Ministry’s press office, Ambassador Song Khwan expressed gratitude to the Azerbaijani side for the assistance and fruitful cooperation during his tenure, and confidence in expanding of the bilateral cooperation in the future.

Minister Mammadyarov stressed for his part the necessity to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries. In political sphere, the Foreign Minister drew the guest’s attention to the importance of governing by the principles of territorial integrity, state sovereignty and inviolability of borders with respect to the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh when discussed in the international organizations.

Finally, Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished Ambassador Song Khwan every success in his further activities.
