TURKISH EMBASSY TO CONDUCT EVENTS ON LIBERATION OF BAKU IN 1918

The leadership of the Demobilized Military’s Youth Education and representatives of the Turkish Embassy have conducted at the international press center a press conference dealing with the arrangements on the occasion of the liberation of Baku from the Bolshevik-Dashnak occupation in 1918. Speakers told of the Turkey’s role in liberating Baku from the occupation and importance to keep the next generations informed of the historical event.

The contest for best articles on Baku’s liberation on September 15, 1918 and children’s pictures was announced. The monument at the Turkish soldier-shahid grave will be opened in Neftchala as well as the indoor football competition with the participation of teams of Turkish companies and non-governmental organizations will be held. The scholastic-practical conference of Azerbaijani and Turkish scholars is also scheduled to be held at the Ataturk center.

The prize-giving ceremony will be followed by the concert.
