Ukraine commemorates Khojaly genocide victims
Baku, January 29 (AZERTAC). Victims of Khojaly massacre have been commemorated as part of International Holocaust Remembrance Day in Kyiv, Ukraine.
According to the Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis, Ambassador Eynulla Madatli spoke of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, 27 January. This day is an international memorial day for the victims of the Holocaust. He also provided information on the Khojaly Massacre, perpetuated by Armenian detachments and 366th regiment of the then Soviet Army in the town of Khojal where 613 civilians lay dead.
The event saw speeches by chairman of the Congress of Ukrainian Azerbaijanis Rovshan Tagiyev, Israil`s ambassador Reuven Din El, employees of diplomatic corps of Romania, Hungary, Germany, France, Russia and US accredited to the country.
