"MASTER PLAN" ON PRESERVATION OF ICHERISHEHER PRESENTED

Baku, 19 June (AZERTAC). The "Master Plan" on preservation of Icherisheher was presented today at the Hyatt Regency-Nakhchivan Hotel with organizational support of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve Office under the Cabinet of Azerbaijan.

The "Master Plan" has been prepared by a group of the international experts with the assistance of the Azerbaijani experts. Being a general plan of Icherisheher, it is one of the documents preparation of which was required by UNESCO Committee of the World Heritage.

As is noted, the main objective of the “Master Plan” consists in systematic preservation of the said architectural heritage and provision of planning of its further development according to the international norms. The plan bases on historical, architectural, technical, sociological and economic analyses. The “Master Plan” will be realized in the frame of cooperation with relevant state and municipal bodies and other authoritative institutes.
