Azerbaijan attends ECA General Assembly
Baku, February 9 (AZERTAC). General Manager of Baku football club Zeynal Mammadov and head of media and marketing department Nariman Mehdiyev represented Azerbaijan in the European Club Association (ECA) General Assembly in the Qatari capital of Doha.
The two-day assembly was attended by over 200 clubs, and for the first time in its history, it included non-European clubs.
Boca Juniors, Santos FC, Corinthians, DC United, Toronto FC, Kashima Antlers and Adelaide United FC were among the non-European clubs that confirmed their attendance.

An official dinner commenced for delegates at the Museum of Islamic Arts later in the evening where Secretary General of the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, Hassan Al Thawadi, provided a speech outlining preparations already underway for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar.
