AZERBAIJAN, CUBA SIGNS AGREEMENT ON CULTURAL CO-OP

Baku, May 19 (AZERTAC). Within the meeting of Azerbaijan-Cuban Inter-governmental Commission Azerbaijani minister of culture and tourism Abulfaz Garayev and Minister of Trade and Investments of the Republic of Cuba Ricardo Guerrero signed agreement on cultural cooperation, today.

The agreement envisaged holding joint cultural events, symposiums, fairs, mutual culture days.

Mr. Garayev stressed the importance of the visit in developing friendly relations between two countries. He also told about his visit to Cuba three months ago. During this visit, parties signed agreement on tourism cooperation. Azerbaijan cultural days are planed to be held in Cuba in February-March, in 2010.

"We are interested in cooperation in the field of culture, tourism, health, sport ", said Guerrero.

The second meeting of Azerbaijan-Cuba inter-governmental commission will be held tomorrow.
