Azerbaijan joins Indo Defence-2012 exhibition in Indonesia
Baku, November 14 (AZERTAC). A delegation headed by Azerbaijan`s Minister of Defence Industry Yavar Jamalov has participated in the International Indo Defence-2012 exhibition in Indonesia.
Products of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence Industry have been demonstrated at the exhibition.
As part of the visit, Mr. Javadov met Minister of Defence, Purnomo Yusgiantoro and First Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Military-Industrial Committee Roman Golovchenko.
They discussed establishment of the bilateral relations, as well as development of the existing cooperation.
The INDO defence expo and forum, Indonesia`s Official Tri Service Defence Event, was hosted by the Ministry of Defence of Indonesia.
The exhibition is the 5th in its series, and has hosted over 500 exhibitors from 40 countries and 20,000 delegates and trade visitors. This is back of the overwhelming success of Indo Defence 2004, 2006, 2008, and 2010 undoubtedly was the platform for international defence industry to showcase a full range of military products and technology to meet the increasing demand of the local defence industry.
Over 480 companies and 17 pavilions from Australia, Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, France, German, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia Republic, South Korea, the Netherlands, Turkey, Ukraine, and UK have made Indo Defence Expo and Forum in the region. A record of 15,795 buyers including 527 overseas delegates from 44 countries registered for the 4-days event.
The exhibition provides a perfect interactive platform for the defence forces to assess the best products and technology to cater for their respective defence-related requirements.
