Azerbaijan joins OTS customs chiefs' meeting in Kazakhstan

The 11th Meeting of the Heads of Customs Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on September 6-8 in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, bringing together senior officials and representatives from the customs administrations of member and observer states, as well as Georgia.
Addressing the event, Zhandos Duysembiev, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, highlighted the symbolic significance of hosting the meeting in Turkistan, describing the city as the spiritual center of the Turkic world that embodies unity and mutual understanding among fraternal peoples. He noted that the gathering serves as further proof of the shared goal to strengthen cooperation between the parties.
The Chairman also underlined that in recent years, economic and trade collaboration within the OTS has continued to grow, driven by improved digital solutions, streamlined customs procedures, and increased trust among member states.
The meeting concluded with the signing of three key documents.
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and strengthening fraternal ties, emphasizing that joint efforts will contribute to building a modern, open, and innovative customs system across the Turkic world.
