Azerbaijan parliament`s speaker meets Bulgarian counterpart
Baku, November 27 (AZERTAC). Speaker of Azerbaijan National Assembly Ogtay Asadov has met Bulgarian delegation led by Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Tsetska Tsacheva.
Asadov thanked Tsacheva for the Bulgarian delegation`s active participation in the 40th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization. He praised relations between legislative bodies of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, adding joint activity of the two coutnries` parliamentarians in various organizations serves deepening of bilateral cooperation.
Asadov also stressed the importance of high-level reciprocal visits in Azerbaijan-Bulgarian cooperation. He recalled that more than 40 documents were signed between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani speaker also underlined the significance of interparliamentary ties, praising the fact that friendship groups operate in both countries` legislative bodies. He added the Bulgarian delegation`s visit to Azerbaijan would give impetus to deepening relations between parliaments.
Tsetska Tsacheva, in turn, stressed the role of parliaments in expansion of relations between the two countries. He appreciated participation of parliamentary delegations in leading international organizations. According to Tsacheva, continuation of political dialogue will have positive influence on development of other spheres of bilateral relations.
