AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV ATTENDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY FOR GYMNASTICS COMPLEX
Baku, August 26 (AZERTAC). A groundbreaking ceremony for a Gymnastics Complex has today been held in the Azerbaijani capital.
President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse, President of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.
The President was informed that the complex would cover an area of 3.5 hectares. It will be built to modern standards and include halls for local and international competitions.
Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva placed a time capsule into the foundation and filled it with liquid concrete, marking the formal start of the construction.
The President chatted with constructors to wish them successes.
