AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT OPENS SARHADCHI SPORT COMPLEX
Baku, August 31 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev has today inaugurated Sarhadchi Sport Complex.
The complex features a wide range of sports facilities, including indoor and outdoor grounds also designed to host international competitions.
President Ilham Aliyev viewed the complex.
““Olympic Center “Serhedchi” will make a huge contribution into development of the renewing and modern sport infrastructure of Azerbaijan. As you know, during recent years, the sport infrastructure has been created very fast in Azerbaijan. We have huge sport facilities,” said the President, addressing the inauguration ceremony.
“Azerbaijan is the sport nation, we achieved great accomplishments. Our athletes returned home with the great victory from the last Olympic games. Following the Olympic games, they scored brilliant victories in other international competitions including world and European championships including world cups”
“The sport will continue to develop intensively in Azerbaijan. I am sure that our athletes will enhance the sport glory of Azerbaijan”
“This Olympic sport center has been created by the Frontier Service. The great work has been done in Azerbaijan to strengthen infrastructure, material and technical base of the frontier service,” said the President.
