AZERBAIJAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES DUTCH SENATE`s PRESIDENT
Baku, September 8 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today received President of the Dutch Senate Rene van der Linden.
The Azerbaijani leader recalled his meetings with Rene van der Linden in Strasbourg.
The President of the Dutch Senate said he was pleased to be in Azerbaijan again. Rene van der Linden praised the bilateral friendly relations. He said after having chaired the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe he assumed the position of the head of an Azerbaijan-Netherlands friendship group. Rene van der Linden said as the Senate`s President he places big importance on relations with Azerbaijan.
President Ilham Aliyev praised Rene van der Linden`s chairmanship of the Azerbaijan-Netherlands friendship group.
The President expressed confidence the relations between the two countries will expand, in particular in the political and economic fields.
President Ilham Aliyev said there is a good potential to develop the bilateral cooperation. The Azerbaijani leader expressed confidence Rene van der Linden`s visit will contribute to strengthening the Azerbaijan-Netherlands relations.
