AZERBAIJAN, SYRIA SIGN DOCUMENTS
Baku, July 8(AZERTAC). Azerbaijan and Syria have today signed several documents following talks between the two countries` delegations chaired by Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Bashar al-Assad.
Azerbaijan`s foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov and his Syrian counterpart Walid al Muallem signed an “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Syrian Arab Republic for removal of visa requirements for the holders of diplomatic, service and special passports”.
Azerbaijan`s first deputy prime minister Yagub Eyyubov and Syrian deputy prime minister for economic affairs Abdullah al-Dardari signed an “Agreement on cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Syrian Arab Republic”; a “Memorandum of Understanding to set up a joint commission on economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Syrian Arab Republic”; an “Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Syrian Arab Republic in the fields of energy and industry”; and an “Agreement for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Government of the Syrian Arab Republic”.
