Azerbaijan, Tajikistan explore enhancing cooperation in industrial property protection

Sanan Tapdigov, Member of the Board of Azerbaijan’s Intellectual Property Agency, met with a delegation of Tajikistan, comprising members of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.
The meeting took place as part of the implementation of the “Agreement on cooperation in the field of industrial property protection between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan” signed in 2024.
Sanan Tapdigov briefed the Tajik delegation about the activities and reforms implemented by the Agency, including the “Open Target for Patents, Trademarks” (PANAH) digital information system, and the “open registers” for inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, and geographical indications.
Rajabzoda Parviz, Deputy Director of the State Institution “National Center for Patents and Information” of Tajikistan’s Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, highlighted the Center’s activity and its key priorities. Rajabzoda stressed the importance of collaboration with the Intellectual Property Agency, adding that it offers great opportunities for personnel training, exchange of expertise, and implementation of joint projects.
The meeting addressed cooperation in intellectual property protection, holding training programs for experts, as well as enhancing information exchange.
