Azerbaijan to send note to Uruguay
Baku, November 14 (AZERTAC). “The visit of one or two parliamentarians to the occupied Azerbaijani territories makes no difference. Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions are historical lands of Azerbaijan. But this provocative visit can tense the situation in the region,” spokesman for Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry Elman Abdullayev told journalists on Wednesday.
“Those who have organized this visit, especially Armenian Diaspora, do nothing but damage the process of negotiations. The negotiations on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict are on the delicate moment and Armenia damages this process with such actions,” Abdullayev stated.
Elman Abdullayev added that the visit of Uruguayan delegation to Nagorno Karabakh was examined and the Azerbaijani side is going to send a note to the opposite side for clearing this issue.
According to Armenian mass media, the delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives of Uruguay Jorge Orrico is on a visit to the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. The delegation has met with head of separatist regime in Nagorno Karabakh Bako Saakyan. Besides, the member of the delegation and Uruguay-Armenia Interparliamentary Friendship Group Rubйn Martнnez said that his country could be the first to recognize the so-called “Republic of Nagorno Karabakh”.
