Azerbaijani, Belarusian scientists enhance scientific cooperation

As part of its efforts to expand its international scientific cooperation, the Institute of Geography of the Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Belarusian State University to strengthen joint research, promote academic exchanges, and foster collaborative scientific initiatives, Zaur Imrani, Doctor of Geographical Sciences and Acting Director of the Institute of Geography, told AZERTAC.
According to him, the agreement encourages collaboration through joint projects, conferences, and the sharing of publications and data, aiming to initiate new research activities and facilitate the exchange of advanced scientific methods.
Zaur Imrani highlighted the institute’s key strengths in expanding scientific capacity, attracting grants and projects, and consolidating maps and data into a unified database. He noted that the institute is internationally recognized and consistently pursues its strategic development goals.
“The Belarusian State University, a leading educational and research center, applies both local and international best practices to meet the nation’s intellectual and social needs. This partnership is expected to strengthen ties between the two institutions, broaden collaborative research, and elevate regional scientific cooperation to a new level,” he added.
