Azerbaijani boxers competing in international tournament in Russia

Baku, May 16 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan national boxing team have joined an international tournament in memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Konstantin Korotkov in Khabarovsk, Russia.

The national squad includes Tural Ahmadov weighing in at 56 kg, Ilkin Agayev at 60 kg, Rafig Aliyev at 91 kg, Abdulgadir Abdullayev at 91 kg and Alexander Babich over 91 kg.

The tournament brings together more than 130 boxers from 19 countries.

Azerbaijani Tural Ahmadov has beaten Tajik Sharif Tavokolov 16-4 in his first bout of the tournament. He will next face Korean Kvon Cholguk.
