AZERBAIJANI DELEGATION ATTENDS 52ND SESSION OF UN COMMISSION ON NARCOTIC DRUGS
Baku, 13 March (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani delegation led by Deputy Interior Affairs Minister, lieutenant-general Asgar Alakbarov attends the 52nd session of UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) in Vienna.
During the event, Mr. Alkabarov met with head of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) Hamid Ghodse to discuss the issues of cooperation. He also met with UN Deputy Secretary General, Executive Director of the Office for Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Antonio Maria Costa. Mr. Alakbarov expressed greetings of Deputy Premier of Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov and Minister of Interior Affairs Ramil Usubov to Maria Costa. He invited UN Deputy Secretary General to attend the conference of the heads of law-enforcement bodies of OIC member countries, which is to take place in Baku, April 21-22.
The sides also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
