AZERBAIJANI FM ACCEPTS CREDENTIALS OF NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADORS OF SEVERAL COUNTRIES
At a meeting with Yemen ambassador Jamal Abdullah Al-Sallal, Mammadyarov stressed the need to use all existing opportunities to develop bilateral ties between Yemen and Azerbaijan. He thanked Yemen government for supporting Azerbaijan`s position during the voting on the resolution on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan at the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting with Nigerian ambassador Abubakar Chika, Minister Mammadyarov highlighted the need to expand bilateral ties in the oil industry, education and other fields. Discussions also revolved around the cooperation within the Organization of the Islamic Conference, processes in the world oil market and other issues. Elmar Mammadyarov thanked Nigeria for backing Azerbaijan`s stance during the voting on the resolution on the situation in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan at the UN General Assembly.
During the meeting between Benin ambassador Vissinto Ayi d`Almeida and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, the sides shared their ideas on opportunities for expanding cooperation in the agriculture, tourism, oil industry and other fields. On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Mammadyarov noted the resolution of the conflict is possibly only on the basis of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
South African ambassador Tebogo Seokolo and Mammadyarov discussed prospects of relations and stressed the importance of high-level reciprocal visits. Mammadyarov pointed out the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan only.
Vietnamese ambassador Bui Din Zin and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Mammadyarov found the need to develop cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, educational fields. Minister briefed ambassador on the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh. The sides agreed to organize high-level reciprocal visits.
Zimbabwe ambassador Phelekezela Mphoko provided information about the situation in his country, saying his country is keen on expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan. Mammadyarov pointed out the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be based on the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan only.
Sri Lankan ambassador Mohamed Zohair pointed out his country is interested in developing ties with Azerbaijan and organizing high-level visits. Mammadyarov noted there are ample opportunities for cooperation between the two countries, and emphasized the importance of consultations in this direction. Mammadyarov also gave insight into the history of Armenia`s aggression against Azerbaijan and the policy of ethnic purge pursued by this country. He underscored the conflict may be solved on the basis of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
