Azerbaijani FM meets chairman of Peruvian Congress

Baku, August 2 (AZERTAC). Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov has met chairman of Peruvian Congress Víctor Isla Rojas.

The chairman said Mammadyarov`s visit would contribute to development of relationship between Azerbaijan and Peru.

Víctor Isla Rojas recalled a visit of Peruvian congressmen to Azerbaijan last year. He said the congressmen had put forward a proposal on creation of a friendship group with Azerbaijan in Peruvian parliament.

Mammadyarov said the purpose of his visit was to discuss cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade, energy and cultural areas. He also underscored the importance of interparliamentary ties. Mammadyarov praised the proposal on establishment of friendship group with Azerbaijan in Peruvian parliament. The minister said he would put forward a proposal on creation of friendship group with Peru in Azerbaijani parliament.
