AZERBAIJANI PREMIER MEETS ROMANIAN MINISTER OF ECONOMY
Baku, July 3 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Premier Arthur Rasizade met Romanian Minister of Economy, co-chairman of the Azerbaijan-Romania intergovernmental commission Adrian Videanu.
Mr. Rasizade told of economic reforms, GDP growth, investments made in infrastructure, wage raise. He noted that government of Azerbaijan attaches high significance to global energy projects and development of non-oil sector.
Premier underlined that Romania was one of the first countries that recognized Azerbaijan`s independence. After visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Romania, relations expanded even more. Arthur Rasizade noted that up to now Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno Karabakh was not solved that resulted in expatriation of one million people from their native lands. He expressed his gratitude to government of Romania for just stance towards Azerbaijan.
Mr. Videanu briefed about results of the 4th meeting of Azerbaijan-Romania Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economy. He noted that Romanian businessmen are keen to expand relations with Azerbaijan in the fields of energy, industry, agriculture, tourism, culture areas. Minister stressed that the government of Romania will further support Azerbaijan`s territorial integrity.
