AZERBAIJAN`S FM MEETS GREEK AMBASSADOR TO BAKU
Azerbaijan`s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met Friday with Greek Ambassador to Azerbaijan Temistocles Dimidis who is completing his tenure in the country.
The necessity of widening Greece-Azerbaijan cooperation, particularly in economic sphere, was stressed during the meeting.
Both the Minister and Ambassador emphasized the importance of the Turkey-Greece-Italy pipeline to transport Caspian oil to the world markets.
Mr. Mammadyarov pointed out sustainable stability had been established in Azerbaijan. According to him, the country has turned into the region`s leader.
On the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Minister noted that Armenia must maintain friendly relations with its neighbors.
Temistocles Dimidis, in turn, underlined the necessity of good neighborly relations among countries. “Growing cooperation between Turkey and Greece is evidence to these relations”, he added.
The Ambassador expressed satisfaction with his activity in Azerbaijan, and wished every success to the country in its political and economic development.
