AZERI FM MEETS INDIAN NEWLY APPOINTED AMBASSADOR TO COUNTRY
The ambassador said the two countries enjoy great opportunities to expand bilateral relations.
He stressed the necessity of organizing mutual visits by the two countries` top officials as well as conducting consultations between Foreign Ministries.
Debnath Shaw noted his country was curious about expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan in the spheres of energy, trade, ICTs, education and culture.
Elmar Mammadyarov, in turn, underlined the necessity of establishing mutually beneficial relations between Azerbaijan and India both bilaterally and within international organizations.
The Minister stressed that restoration of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was the country`s top foreign policy priority.
He also emphasized the importance of international community`s fair stance towards the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Ambassador Shaw then presented a copy of his credentials to Minister Mammadyarov, and said he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing cooperation between the two countries.
