AZERI HISTORICAL FILM “JAVAD KHAN” TO BE SHOWN IN IRAN
Baku, April 24 (AZERTAC). The Iranian public has opportunity to watch the film “Javad Khan” shot under the scenario of the People`s Poet of Azerbaijan Sabir Rustamkhanly, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan said.
The full-length feature film (2 hours 43 minutes), shot under the state order at the Producer Center “Bizim Kino”, is dedicated to the glorious pages of the history of Azerbaijan and narrates about the Azerbaijani khans, in particular, about the life of the last Khan of Ganja. As known, the governor of Ganja, Javad Khan in 1804 has not accepted the offer of the commander of imperial armies on the Caucasus Pavel Tsitsianov about surrender of the city and heroically was killed together with his son at the battlefield.
Producer of the film is Rovshan Muradly (Azerbaijan), director of photography - Muhammad Mejidi (Iran), composer - Sardar Farajov (Azerbaijan). Starring in the film are People`s Artists of Azerbaijan Nuraddin Mehdikhanly, Ramiz Novruzov, Amaliya Panahova, Honored Artist Nuriya Huseynova and Ali Nur.
Shooting passed in Ganja, Zagatala and Sheki regions.
