AZERI SPEAKER MEETS TURKISH JUSTICE MINISTER
Speaker of Azerbaijan Parliament Ogtay Asadov met Thursday with Turkish Minister of Justice Mehmet Ali Sahin.
Asadov said relations between “fraternal and friendly” Azerbaijan and Turkey are rapidly developing in all areas.
Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey are playing important role in consolidating cooperation on strategic partnership, the Speaker stressed.
He said political, economic, and cultural relations, as well as the two countries` cooperation within international organizations can set an example for other countries.
He also praised the development of cooperation between Azerbaijani and Turkish ministries of justice.
Asadov noted that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipelines, and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project contribute to further enhancement of bilateral relationship. According to him, Turkish entrepreneurs have invested more than two billiard dollars in Azerbaijan`s economy, adding bilateral trade was about one billion dollars for the six months of the current year.
Asadov noted the important role of parliaments, especially high-level reciprocal visits of parliamentarians in deepening of bilateral relations.
The Turkish Minister said his country attaches great importance to further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries. Sahin underlined that Azerbaijan-Turkey relationship will always set an example for others.
