AzerKimya PU and Qafqaz University discuss upcoming conference on petro-chemistry
Sumgayit, February 7 (AZERTAC). A meeting with the leadership of Qafqaz University was arranged at Azerkimya PU`s head office to discuss an issue on preparation to the upcoming International conference on the theme “Actual problems of Chemistry and Petrochemical technology” due to be held in April, 2013, in Baku.
During the meeting, the chairman of “Azerkimya” PU, MP Mukhtar Babayev and rector of Qafqaz University Ahmed Sanic discussed prospects of a large-scaled event and put forward some proposals.
The speakers noted that the scientific and practical conference to be organized and funded by SOCAR will be devoted to the 90th anniversary of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.
The conference will bring together scientific figures from authoritative scientific centers operating in petrochemical field.
The conference is forecasted to ensure the close scientific links between the scientific figures and oilmen, as well as discuss prospects of development petrochemical industry, implementation of new projects, ways of learning technologies for modern chemistry and its application.
The event participants have also exchanged views on theoretical and practical aspects of petro-chemistry, actual problems of physical & analytical chemistry, modern scientific researches in the fields of chemistry, as well as innovative technology in the chemical industry and others.
The three-day conference will be attended by representatives of “Petkim Petrokimya Holding” AS, Azerbaijani State Oil Academy, Institute of Petrochemical Processes of ANAS, Qafqaz University, bp-Azerbaijan company and others, including famous chemists and scientists from USA, Canada, Russia, UK, Germany, Turkey, Georgia and other countries.
